Boys &Girls Club of the Big Island has been selected as the beneficiary of the Ohana Fuels “Fuel Up. Do Good.” program.

Ohana Fuels partners with nonprofit organizations that serve the needs of the local community by donating a portion of every gallon of gasoline purchased at all Ohana Fuels stations in that community.

From January to March 2016, a portion of all sales at the eight Big Island Ohana fuels locations will be donated to Boys &Girls Club of the Big Island.

“We invite the Big Island community to make a difference in the lives our community’s youth by filling up at Ohana Fuels,” said Zavi Brees-Saunders, BGCBI chief executive officer.

“BGCBI encourages youth to reach their full potential by providing trained, caring adult mentors and life-enhancing programs aimed at facilitating academic success, good character and citizenship and healthy lifestyles,” Brees-Saunders said.

“The Boys &Girls Club of the Big Island provides a critical service to kids in our community and we are proud to have (them) as our next ‘Fuel Up. Do Good.’ partner for the first quarter of 2016,” said Kimo Haynes, president of Hawaii Petroleum.
